Japanese pianist Koki Nakano today releases a new single & accompanying choreographed video, ‘Near-Perfect Synchronization’, the latest to arrive from his new album ‘Pre-Choreographed’, due out through Nø Førmat! (also home to Oumou Sangaré and Mélissa Laveaux amongst others) on April 24, 2020.
The album is the follow-up to Nakano’s much-admired 2016 debut ‘Lift’, also released on Nø Førmat! and created in collaboration with cellist Vincent Segal. The new video for ‘Near-Perfect Synchronization’ – shot close to Paris by Benjamin Seroussi (Benjamin Clementine, Opening Ceremony) and conceived/performed by Amala Dianor.
In this crazy world that we’re living in right now, I’m thankful to Koki and his music and this video. Listening and watching this, was a very calming and soothing experience, definitely something I really needed,
