I’m definitely feeling this one from Midoca.
The LA artist says this is his first time singing on his own record.
“Typically, I have a lot of lyric and melodic ideas for my tracks but I let the vocalists I’m working with do what they do best while I handle the production and direction.”
He says on ‘Everything I Need’ he sat down to write a demo and the entire song poured out of him.
“I began showing it to a few close friends and they demanded that I remain as the vocalist on the song. I believe the raw and cathartic nature of the song spoke to them, and after a while I realized I was the only one who should sing this song because of how personal it is to me. The lyrics are about having someone close to you badly needing help but still refusing to be helped. At a certain point you have to let go even though it really fucking hurts.”
