Meet Enjune. An independent singer / songwriter / artist based in Venice Beach, CA who just released his new single ‘Be Alright’. A stunning tune that was born out of loss.
Enjune explained that he lost his best friend and former bandmate in January 2018 who relapsed and died of an accidental heroin overdose after years of battling opioid addiction.
“Over the last year since, I have spent a great deal of time studying, writing and practicing music; more than ever. I have taken this tragedy as an opportunity to get serious and turn my hobby and personal therapy into something greater, ultimately helping others through the process. Deep down I knew that I could not bare to sit back and allow my friend’s death to become another sad statistic on a chart, and thus, creating and publishing original music that is genuine to my own self has since become a newfound purpose. I do this to honor Evan and others who have shared struggles like him.”
What an honour it is, I am sure Evan is looking on and applauding Enjune because this song right here is pure perfection. Hear it below and let me know what you think.
‘Be Alright’ was recorded in Silverlake, CA at the home studio of Dan Sadin mixed by Andrew Heringer (Milo Greene/The Guest & The Host) and mastered by Aaron Molho of Sundial Music. The release is the first of a series of singles by Enjune set to make up a 6 song EP entitled, Teal Dreams, scheduled to release on 6/9 of this year.
All money raised through streams of Be Alright will be donated to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). For more information on NIDA visit: www.drugabuse.gov
