BROOKLYN RAPPER SMOOVE’L SHARES NEW TRACK/VIDEO ‘BILLIE GREEN’

Friday marked the release of bourgeoning rapper, Smoove’L’s new song and video for ‘Billie Green’ released via  Run Music / Interscope Records. On his latest offering the Brooklyn artist returns to what he’s known for best, punchy wordplay over heavy hitting beats. His vitality continues to prove that consistency is key and Billie Green is set to “get the streets hot” just in time for the summer. Watch the video directed by Jerry Production below.

Smoove’L first took off with late 2019’s “New Apollos,” which caught the eyes of The New York TimesGenius and Lyrical Lemonade, and now has over 13 million views. Last year he made his live debut at Barclays Center, performing to thousands for Yams Day and soon after, he released “Palm Angels,” a bass-heavy, melodic ode to the luxury clothing brand — and the women who wear it — which debuted on Complex and was Pitchfork’s “New Rap Song of the Day.” That same month, he packed out SOB’s as the headliner for Hot 97’s “Who’s Next” concert. As his continued to rise he shared a steady slew of music including his label debut mixtape, which made waves garnering critical acclaim from Billboard, XXL, Complex,  Vulture, who listed him on their “Guide to New York Rap’s Next Generation” and DJBBooth, who called him one of the “10 Rappers You Should Know Right Now.” Soon after he shared his studio-debut album, Ice Cups and Shootouts which Complex recognized as “one of his strongest showcases to date.” “Billie Green” is a thrilling addition to Smoove’s  takeover — another exciting gem from a bold new artist.
