Happy Monday music lovers. As usual, my day is starting off later than others but that’s alright because I have Chris Moy’s ‘Bloom’ in my ear.
Chris Moy is a singer, songwriter, and vocal producer who has delivered something absolutely beautiful.
‘Bloom’ is about the transformative power of romantic love.
Chris says, “It’s the antithesis of toxic masculinity. It’s a mantra about the growth that’s available to us when we let ourselves be with love and vulnerability. A portion of the second verse symbolizes what the world has tried to impose upon me about how I am supposed to be, who I am supposed to be, and what love is supposed to be. Having courage to be soft, especially as a straight-cis dude, is counter to the norm in love and in life. And this song is my contribution to the larger conversation around transforming the construct of masculinity.”
Listen to the song below and let me know what you think.
